Eddie Murphy announces his return to comedy

Eddie Murphy, an actor who has long been out of the public eye, is working on several new projects, and a stand-up tour is just one of them, CNN reports.
"I'm going on tour next year. I'll do a stand-up," revealed the legendary Murphy as he spoke on Netflix's "Present Company with Krista Smith" podcast.

Although there is no information on the location and timing of the stand-up, and although no official tour has been announced, he said he will work out improvisation directly on stage for the material for his show.

That's just part of the plans Eddie Murphy plans to make in the near future. His new movie Dolemite Is My Name, which also stars comedian Rudy Ray Moore, is screening at the Toronto Film Festival.

Likewise, he is set to host Saturday Night Live in December. It will be his first time hosting a humorous late-night show since 1984, and will appear in "Coming To America."

Murphy's 1987 comedy "Row" grossed more than $ 50 million and is considered one of his most successful career projects, and in 2011 he said he was no longer interested in making family films and withdrew from that period public.
