"I think it's too often in the stories of strong women that they can beat men or be like men, or that they don't need a man at all," Jolie said as the movie began.
Commenting on her own character from the movie and Princess Aurora, played by Elle Fanning, she added, "We both need a lot and love learning from men. So I think it's an important message to young girls - to find their power, but to respect and learn from the men who surround them ”.
