Detroit Techno featured in a new documentary

A new documentary follows the history of Detroit techno.

Directed by London-based director Jenn Nkiru, Frieze and Gucci, the Italian fashion house, is in charge of the production, you'll find out all about the rise of this musical genre in the city of Michigan in the twenty-minute "Black to Techno" video.

Key moments in Detroit history have been addressed - the influence of Motown Records, the 1967 riots, the relationship of this city with Berlin after the demolition of the wall, with the club and record label Tresor.

As for the narrator, you will hear legends such as Juan Atkins, Kodwo Eshun and Greg Tate.
